Uzbek Ipoteka Bank’s assets up by almost 32%

Assets of the Joint-Stock Commercial Ipoteka Bank, which is among 10 largest banks of Uzbekistan, amounted to 5.748 trillion soums in 2016, which is 31.9 percent more than in 2015, according to the bank’s audited report.

The bank’s assets were calculated in line with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The bank's loan portfolio increased by 37.8 percent in 2016 to reach 4.637 trillion soums.

Ipoteka Bank’s liabilities increased by 32.1 percent in 2016 to 5.334 trillion soums.

Meanwhile, in 2016, the volume of the bank’s own funds increased by 29.8 percent – up to 414.026 billion soums taking into account the authorized capital in the amount of 269.421 billion soums.

According to the report, net profit of Ipoteka Bank totaled 72.062 billion soums in 2016, as compared to 58.044 billion soums in 2015 (growth by 24.2 percent).

Ipoteka Bank was established in April 2005 through the merger of Uzbek Housing-Savings Bank (Uzjilsberbank) and State Joint Stock Mortgage Bank Zamin.
