Income of Azerbaijani population up by almost 7%

Nominal income of the Azerbaijani population increased by 6.8 percent in January-April 2017 as compared to the same period of 2016 and reached 14.66 billion manats, according to a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.

The report says that the per capita income was 1,510.3 manats in the period with an increase of 5.2 percent.

According to the report, 86.8 percent of the population’s income was spent on consumer spending, 8.5 percent – on taxes, social insurance and voluntary membership fees, 2 percent – on interest payments on loans, and 2.7 percent – on fees.
