Second airport will be built in Turkey’s resort province of Antalya, Turkish media outlets cited a source in the country’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
The project is expected to be soon submitted to the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, after which a tender will be announced for the airport construction.
According to preliminary information, the new Antalya airport will be able to serve five million people per year.
Fifty-five airports operate in Turkey as of today.
