Azerbaijan’s share in the capital stock of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) decreased from 0.2763 to 0.2732 percent, said a message on the AIIB website.
This is due to the inclusion of Hong Kong and Malaysia in the bank’s shareholding structure. Their shares in the AIIB capital amounted to 0.8227 percent and 0.1178 percent, respectively. As a result, the shares of all shareholders slightly decreased.
At the same time, the amount of Azerbaijan’s share in the AIIB capital remained at $254.1 million.
AIIB was founded in June 2015. Azerbaijan is one of the bank’s founding members.
