Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery is preparing to produce Biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP), the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
The project is implemented by Indonesia’s P.T. Istana Karang Laut.
Polypropylene films, which will be produced here, have a different molecular structure, says the report.
The films are differing for their gas barrier characteristics and thermoformability, according to the report.
It is planned to annually produce up to 21,000 tons of films of various types from local raw materials, including for packaging food and industrial products.
