THE LARGEST INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION GROWTH RECORDED IN AZERBAIJAN

(RBC) вЂ" According to the inter-state CIS statistics committee, in January-May 2005 as compared to the similar period of 2004 the largest industrial production growth has been recorded in Azerbaijan - 19,4%. Russia takes the 9-th place among the CIS countries - 3,6%, in Georgia this indicator is 10,9%, in Belorussia - 10,6%, in Tadjikistan - 7,9%, in Kazakhstan - 7,2%, in Ukraine - 6,2%, in Armenia - 4,5%, in Moldavia - 3,8%. Industrial production decrease by 8,1% has been observed in Kirgiziya.

In average on the CIS countries the industrial production growth in January-May 2005 made 5%. According to the statistical committee’s materials the growth tempo lowered in most Commonwealth’s countries.

In May 2005, as compared to the current April, the average industrial production in CIS countries lowered by 5%. The production growth has been observed in Azerbaijan (by 2,6%), Armenia (by 3,2%), Belorussia (by 0,8%), Georgia (by 0,7%), Tadjikistan (by 3,4%).

The highest price growth of the industrial production manufacturers has been observed in Kazakhstan in January-May 2005, as compared to the similar period of 2004 - 22,9%. In Russia the prices grew by 19,5% for the same period. The average prices in CIS countries grew by 20%.
