TRAFFIC VOLUME GREW BY 6,9% IN AZERBAIJAN

The volume of traffic for the first half-year grew in Azerbaijan.

In January-June 61,2 million tons of goods have been transported, which is by 6,9 % more of the similar indicator of the previous year, the Azerbaijan’s Transport Ministry told Trend.

The major part of freight traffic falls at the road transport, where 33,3 million tons of goods have been transported, which is by 5,9 % more of the last year’ same period. The volume of passenger traffic has increased by 3,4% and made up 406 million people.

The Ministry also noted, that the sea traffic decreased by 3,9 % for these period. 6,7 million tons of cargo have been transported by sea transport. Among them, 74,9% fell at the oil and oil products, 25,1% - dry cargo.
