The ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Reseach in the Dry Areas) coordinator for Central Asia and Transcaucasus Radjendra Paronda arrived in Baku.
The visit bears the familiarization character, during which the expert plans to visit the Genetics, Earth institutes to discuss issues and problems with the specialists of these institutes, the scientific-agrarian center of the Ministry of Agriculture (MA) told Trend. Meeting with the director of the MA scientific-agrarian center Asad Musayev who is also the ICARDA coordinator in Azerbaijan is planned.
Meeting with the Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abasov has been also planned. The issues of further cooperation in the agrarian sphere between the Ministry and ICARDA will be discussed at the meeting.
ICARDA was established in 1977, its headquarters is in Aleppo (Syria).
