The Anti-Monopoly Department of the Ministry of Economic Development started the monitoring of the quality of production of edible salt, Rahim Hussyenov, the Director of the Department, told Trend. Under the monitoring it is planned to check up the quality of salt manufactured at the enterprises and workshops located in the Masazir lake.
Though the monitoring is still to complete, a number of violations, including the under treatment of salt and its iodinating, were revealed in the almost 80 workshops,” Husseynov underlined. The monitoring revealed that only few enterprises function officially and stable in this business.
