Azerbaijan is to submit to the World Trade Organization (WTO) written answers to some questions by 1 August 2005, the Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The issues are linked with agriculture, cancellation of exports subsidies, exit to market, tariffs and trade. The WTO demands the improvement of the legislation, development of mechanism for their application.
The Azerbaijani working group will also have to prepare a report on Actual Results which will contain data on trade regime in the country.
The next round of talks on Azerbaijan’s membership at the World Trade Organization (WTO) is scheduled for February вЂ" March 2006, the same source said.
The Azerbaijani government appealed to the WTO in 1997, while the first round of talks was held only after 4 years in 2001.
