CONFERENCE ON TEN YEARS OF AGRARIAN REFORMS IN AZERBAIJAN POSTPONED FOR AUGUST

Scientific-practical conference on ten years of agrarian reforms in Azerbaijan scheduled to hold in Moscow has been delayed. The event was to take place in the current June and due to the appeal of the Russian side to the Ministry of Agriculture (MA), it has been postponed for August, the MA told Trend.

The MA also underlined, that the conference is planned to hold for the current August at the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture.

For the moment the exact list of the MA officials for participation in the event is underway.

The MA has not ruled out that the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Ismet Abbasov will take part in the forum.

The goal of the conference is discussion of achievements for the last 10 years in

the agrarian sphere of Azerbaijan.(The first reform in the agrarian sector was implemented in February of 1995.

Along with this, agricultural products exhibitions and workshops relating to this sphere are scheduled in the current September in the Russian Federation.

The conference will be carried out in the framework of events in connection with the Year (2005) of Azerbaijan in Russia.

The decision to announce 2005 as the year of Azerbaijan in Russia was taken by the protocol of the 8-th sitting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in April 2004.
