The project on encouragement of consumption of the Azerbaijani goods starts in the country. In accordance with the polls, the quality of the local consumer goods is low due to the low awareness of the population on quality and safety of products, absence of certificates, expert conclusions, the Ministry of Economic Development told Trend.
The major objective of the project is to increase competitiveness of the local goods. The project envisages rendering of assistance to the local producers in obtaining of quality certificate as a result of laboratory examination.
The Ministry plans to carry out events to attract local consumers into the stimulating campaign, increase the potential of Azstandartservis, and use different methods for promotion of local products.
The projects also includes advertising campaign, competitive on the best article on the issue, strengthening of the potential of Azstandartservis, courses on control over quality, institutional organization. The implementation term of the project is 6 months.
The monitoring of the project will be implemented by the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and UNDP in accordance with the schedule.
