WORLD BANK HELD MEETING WITH PRIVATE SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES

The World Bank (WB) held a meeting with the Azerbaijan’s private sector representatives. The discussion was dedicated to the issues of further cooperation of the WB with Azerbaijan, acting head of the WB representation office in Baku Akbar Noman told Trend.

"WB is currently widely discussing a new strategy for the country assistance in Azerbaijan. Today a meeting with the private sector has been held, similar discussions are supposed to be held with civil society representatives. Meanwhile, meetings with the country’s government’s officials are also held”, Noman noted.

According to the report of the UniBank Board chairman Faig Huseynov, a meeting participant, during the meeting appraisals of today’s state of the national economy, investment processes, as well as forecasts for the situation development in the short-term perspective were discussed.
