SHIPS OF CSC TRANSPORTED 5,02 MILLIONTON SOF CRUDE OIL NAD OIL PRODUCTS

The Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) transported 5,775 million tons of oil and oil products in January-June of 2005 against 5,727 million tons for the similar period of 2004.

In January-July 2005 the tankers of CSC transported 2,146 million tons of oil and oil products from Kazakhstan against 1, 573 million tons in January-July of 2004, Trend reports.

The volume of oil and oil products transportation from Turkmenistan for the report period was 1,603 million tons, while in January-July 2004 it was 1,742 million tons.

The oil and oil products from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are delivered since 1996 to the ports of Azerbaijan, from where they in transit follow via Azerbaijan and Georgia to the Black Sea ports Poti and Batumi and further to he world markets.

On the whole, CSC transported 7,756 million tons of freight in January-July 2005 against. 8,14 million tons for the same period of 2004.

The Caspian Shipping Company owns the largest tanker fleet on the Caspian, operating 38 tankers.
