The rate of increase of average pension in Azerbaijan delays from the growth of average salary.
The State Committee of Statistics of Azerbaijan told Trend bon 1 July 2005 the average pension rate in Azerbaijan made up 139,900 manats against 137,028 manats on 1 April and 119,900 manats on 1 January 2005.
"With a growth of 17% as compared to rates fixed on 1 July 2004, average pension in regard Io average salary reduced 24.9% against 25.4% fixed on 1 April 2005 and 26.9% on 1 July 2004," the State Statistic Committee announced. On 1 January 2005 it was 24.1%.
As of 1 July 2005 1,350,900 people were at pension service, including 760,900 pensions for old age, 261,400 pensioners for invalidity, 133.300 for loss of head of family.
