The Asian Bank of Development allocated a grant in the amount of $350,000 for the development of the “Transport Strategy of Azerbaijan”, the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend. A relevant agreement is signed between the Ministry and the Bank in this respect.
The tender procedure for selection of the consultant to render services in the document developing is currently underway. The document will reflect the country’s transport infrastructure development, the ways for attracting cargoes to transport corridors through Azerbaijan, increase of the traffic volumes, building and rehabilitation of roads, transport facilities and etc.
The tender procedure is supposed to be completed in September and to start development of the document, the Ministry noted. .
