The consultant for the project of reconstruction and construction of the Udjar-Evlakh highway is identified, the Yolnegliyyatservis department of the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan told Trend. Consulting services will be rendered by the Bangladesh Consultant LTD. The company will be dealing with the technical supervision of the project.
A German company “Fox” developed the Feasibility Study of the project. The highway construction may start in the current August. It will be the road of the second technical category, dual, the width of which will be 7,5 meters, the length - 53 km.
The highway construction is planned to start in 2006 and complete and commissioned in 2008. $31 million will be spent on the project implementation. $22 million вЂ" the loan of the Islamic Bank of Development, $6 вЂ" the loan of OPEC fund, the rest means -$3 million on the account of the Azerbaijan’s government.
