The group will also visit the regions, visit the sites of ADB-financed projects, and talk first-hand with beneficiaries.

The Asian Development Bank is dedicated to reducing poverty in the Asian and Pacific region through pro-poor sustainable economic growth, social development, and good governance. Azerbaijan joined ADB in 1999.

ADB has approved two projects for US$22 million and US$30 million - for flood mitigation and improved water supply and sanitation services in regional towns, respectively. In addition, technical assistance grants totaling US$8.8 million were approved.

Proposed projects will address micro and rural finance, rehabilitation of the East-West road corridor, early childhood development, and social infrastructure for regional towns.
