Over 8 months of 2005 prime cost of 1-ton cargo transportation by the Azerbaijani railway reduced by 197 manats as compared to the plan.
From January to August plan figure compared 672.4 manats per ton, real one - 475.4 manats. Over 8 months of 2005 the Azerbaijan State Railway Department (ASRD) transported 11.8m tons cargos or 235% more as compared to the forecast. 8,749m ton fell to oil and oil products.
The ASRD totally transported 16.2m tons cargos, including transit cargos, over this period. The plan fulfilled by 120.6% or 2 692,700 tons more as compared 2004.
The plan on cargo turnover was fulfilled by 105.6% or 5.6% more as compared 2004. The plan on tariff cargo turnover was fulfilled by 118.9%.
