A meeting with specialists of the USA agrarian sphere took place yesterday at the Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Ministry. The head of the international relations department of the Ministry Ismet Abbasov received the chief of the marketing and development department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Foodstuffs of the USA, Oklahoma state Glen Shikedanza and the scholar on the environmental problems from the University of Oklahoma Montgomery Bruner, the foreign relations department told Trend.
During the meeting the Azerbaijani side noted the priority directions of the agrarian sphere, to which setting up of broiler and reproductive poultry enterprises refer, introducing up-to-date machinery in the winemaking industry and other issues.
The USA representatives showed interest in development of cooperation in exchange of experience by the advanced technology, in staff training for the agriculture and etc.
The delegates reported at the meeting they would hold relevant researches aimed at revealing the opportunities for implementation of joint programs.
The state structure noted, the meeting has been organized by the USA Embassy to Azerbaijan.
