The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC) revealed some facts of smuggling. The Sumgayit Customs Department and the Sumgayit Central Police Department revealed 118 kg marijuana as a result of joint operative measures, the SCC told Trend.
The SCC noted that they detained Iranian citizens attempting to bring in the country 265 grams opium at the Astara Customs.
The Tovuz Customs Department jointly with the Central Department on Struggle with Drug under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Agstafa Police Department took similar measures and detained resident of Gazakh region with 24 grams marijuana.
The employees of the same customs department found 18 150 cigarette boxes of Yava, Kent and Malboro.
Investigation is underway in this regard.
