“The British Scot Wilson will render consulting services to the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry to develop transport strategy of the country,” the Ministry told Trend. The Company was selected on the base of the tender. The Azerbaijani delegation including the experts of
the Transport Ministry and Economic Development Ministry paid a visit to Manila to participate in unsealing of the bids and selection of the consultant.
The Asian Development Bank allotted $350,000 grant for development of the strategy. The Ministry signed an appropriate agreement with the bank in this regard.
The document will cover development of the transport infrastructure, attracting of cargos in transport corridors, increase of transportation volume, construction and reconstruction of roads, transport objects.
The Ministry noted that they planed to start development of the document after completion of the tender.
