RATING OECD FOR AZERBAIJAN MAY BE REVISED IN JANUARY

A new rating of Azerbaijan at the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OECD) may be obtained early next year. The OECD session will take place in January 2006, the head of the Fund for Promotion of Investments, Emil Medjidov told Trend.

According to the deputy Minister of Economic Development (MED) Mikail Djabbarov, Azerbaijan plans to hold meetings with a number of agencies, OECD members till the year end. It will be the first stage of work for the rating increase.

Thus, MED of Azerbaijan intensifies work with the export agencies of the OECD member states, particularly, with the agencies of FRG, Italy, France and etc., for initiation the issue of increasing the rating of Azerbaijan in OECD from their part.
