The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) opened a newly built school on 5 October 2005 in the Umid settlement of the Baku Karadag district where the refugees and the internally displaced people (IDPs) live. The project has been implemented in the framework of the Sangachal Terminal Extension Program. The project is funded by the Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli (ACG) project and its total budget is $60,000, Trend reports.
The contractors for the school building were the В"World Vision Рђzerbaijan” company, performing a technical support and supervising and the local “Kirs” construction company.
