AZERI-INDIAN BUSINESS-FORUM DUE NEXT YEAR

An Azerbaijani-Indian business-forum will be held in Baku by the end of the year. Farhad Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development, told Trend at the moment talks with the Indian side are underway to clarify the date of the forum.

"Representatives from the governmental bodies and business structures of India are expected to arrive in Baku. Under the visit it is planned to sign an Azerbaijani-Indian agreement, regulating the economic cooperation,” the Minister underlined.

Over the past time a series of business-forums were organized in Azerbaijan jointly with Germany, Finland, Latvian, and Romanian.

According to Aliyev, similar events held last year had a positive impact on increase of the goods turnover. "At present we are interested in the efficiency of such events rather inviting large number of entrepreneurs, or to be more correct quality, rather quantity. Goods delivery to Azerbaijan is not a simultaneous action, goods imported to the country are of great demand. It will entail new technologies and forms investing. It all increases investing opportunities and promote the expansion of relationships," the Minister underlined.
