Azerbaijan’s state flag was raised in the vessel upon the signing of a document. "A delegation headed by Mustafa Mustafayev, senior engineer of Kaspar, represented Azerbaijan in the signing ceremony. Friday the vessel will go out the Nizhniy Novgorod in the direction of Baku. The tanker is expected to arrive in Baku in a fortnight,” he informed. Kaspar’s tanker, of 13,000 tons displacement, has been designed for the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products (with the temperature of flaring at 60C), has double boarding (to prevent oil from spilling in case of accidents). The tanker will be outfitted with 12 tanks, with the aggregate storage capacity of 14,700 cubic meters, and will have double-boarded and double-bottom water ballast tanks. The ship вЂ" 152 meters long and 17.3 meters wide, with the corresponding depth of 10.5 meters, with the settlement of 6.99 meters вЂ" will be capable of making 10 knots and transporting two different crude brands at the same time. It will have a crew of 21 and 20 days endurance period.

The first vessel under project 19619 вЂ" President Heydar Aliyev вЂ" was put into exploitation in November in 2004, the second, Babak, in December. Both vessels function in the TRACECA routes.
