Russia has officially notified Azerbaijan that the issue on the passage of Azerbaijani vessels through the Russian internal waters is under the consideration of the Russian government. Abbas Abbasov, the First Premier, told Trend that the question concerns the passage of 5 Azerbaijani vessels via the Russia’s internal waters.
"At the moment the issue is under the consideration of the Russian government. The Russian Transport Minister sent a letter, which states that the problem will be find its positive resolution shortly,” Abbasov noted.
According to Abbasov, the possible term of issue of permission for passage of vessels was still to be clarified and it depends on the decision of the Russian government.
Abbasov also noted that it was planned to discuss the issue under the CIS, as it must be resolved on the base of bilateral relationships.
