The roundtable on role of leasing and development of national production was held in Baku on 10 October. The event was organized by the Working Group of the Entrepreneurs Council under the Azerbaijani President and the Association of Leasing Companies, Trend reports.
The goal of the roundtable was to develop leasing operations in Azerbaijan and get familiar with this financial institute, particularly, functioning in the regions of the country.
The event concerned development problems of leasing in the country, particularly, search of financial sources. The participants of the event noted that there was big potential for development of leasing in Azerbaijan, but it was not fully used. The participants mentioned necessity of joining to the Ottawa convention regulating world processes in leasing.
Attending of the event were the chairmen of the Working Group of the Entrepreneurs Council, the Association of Leasing, the National Fund on Support to Entrepreneurs, Agro-leasing, representatives of foreign institutes, particularly, the Project of International Financial Corporation on development of Leasing in Azerbaijan, as well as management of the Kazakh TuranAlem bank.
The goal of the conference also was to render assistance to entrepreneurs in order to expand access to financial instruments, as well as leasing.
