Banks invested credits for amount of over 6 trillion AZM in Azerbaijan’s economy

By 1 October 2005 the banks invested credits for the amount of 6225,6 billion AZM to the Azerbaijan’s economy, among them the overdue credits were 315,977billion AZM or 5,08% in the total crediting position, the National Bank of Azerbaijan told Trend.

Among the total number of loans the share of the short-term ones is 3897,5 billion AZM or 6,02%. The share of the long-term ones is 2328,2 billion AZM, from which 81,3 billion AZM are overdue or 3,49%.

The state sector has been credited by 1113,9 billion AZM, which makes up 17,89% in the total volume of crediting. Loans for the private sector were 5111,7 billion AZM or 82,11%.

Loans for the amount of 3897,4 billion AZM or 62,6% of all credits were issued in the national currency. The share of credits in foreign currency is 2328,2 billion AZM or 37,40%.

39,08% of crediting or funding for 2432,8 billion AZM was performed by the state banks. The share of private banks was 3792,9 billion AZM or 60,92%. Crediting for 204,704 billion more or by 3,29% was performed by non-banking credit institutions.
