KFW expert to discuss remarks about project on communal infrastructure in Baku

The expert of the German KfW Bank, the head of the Water Supply and Health Sector, Kurt fon Rabenao will arrive in Azerbaijan on 7 November. The goal of the visit is to discuss comentaries and remarks about the project on opening of communal infrastructure aimed at improvement of water systems of towns Shaki and Ganja, Natig Abdullayev, the head of the Baku representation, told Trend.

Rabenao will also carry out the final monitoring of the project on Imishli. The project has been completed and the bank will transfer its liabilities to AzerSu State Water Enterprise after the monitoring. The repeated monitoring may be carried out 5 years later to reveal success of the project.

The visit will last till 11 November.

The project concerning Shaki and Ganja is implemented within the agreement on financial cooperation between the Azerbaijani and German governments for 2003-2004, signed on 25 February 2005. The value of the first phase is 54m euros to be allocated by KfW (37m euros), SECO (10m euros), the Azerbaijani government (7m euros).
