“The Russian entrepreneurs will visit the Azerbaijani regions in 2006. Entrepreneurs from some Russian regions expressed their interest in establishment of business relations in Azerbaijan,” Intigam Husseynov, the head of the Chamber of Azerbaijan-Russian Business Cooperation, told Trend.
“We plan to organize mini-economic forums for the representatives of the Russian regions in the Azerbaijani regions. We held similar discussions with the representatives of the provinces Sverdlovsk, Stavropoulos, Astrakhan, Mordoviya, Kurgan, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Perm. Certainly, we will not be able to attract the representatives of all 89 Russian regions, but arrival of the representatives of the 10 large regions will be a good figure as well,” he noted.
Husseynov also stressed that the Russian businessmen were traditionally interested in agriculture. “It is easier to carry out export to Russia than far abroad. The Russians are familiar with the test of our fruits and vegetables,” he concluded.
