The State Customs Committee (SCC) prepares for 3rd meeting of the heads of the World Customs Organization (WCO) European customs services in Baku from 2 to 3 February 2006. Kamalladin Heydarov, the chairman of the SCC, received Gabor Hoka, the head of the Hungarian Office on Integration of Customs and Finance Service, and Aniko Schmidt, the deputy head, in this regard. The goal of the visit was to discuss details and organize the forthcoming meeting.
The SCC, the WCO and the Hungarian Office on Integration of Customs and Finance Service were currently working on organization of the conference.
“The exact list of the issues to be discussed at the conference was not determined,” the SCC said.
The first meeting of the heads of the WCO European customs services with participation of Azerbaijani delegation was held in Moscow in January 2004, the second one - in Alma-Ati in February 2005. The meetings discussed modern customs services as element of economic development, role of information technologies in customs, catalyst of development of customs services.
