Azerbaijan participates in int’l workshop of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan participated in the international workshop, held by the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutes (ASOSAI) under the support of the Japanese government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The delegation of the Counting Chamber led by Abbass Allahverdiyev, the deputy chief, represented Azerbaijan at the workshop, organized in Almaty from 15 to 20 November, with Participation of the Central Asian countries and Mongolia, Fuad Ibrahimov, the head of the International Relations Division, told Trend.

According to Allahverdiyev, the goal of the event was unification of work aimed at determination of problems in development of Financial Control bodies and their solution
ways.

He also stressed that Azerbaijan sent their proposals on holding of prospective workshops on different kinds of audit activities, particularly, audit of incomes, ecology, information-communication technologies.

“The organization will make a final decision on holding of workshops after consideration of all proposals,” Ibrahimov underlined.

As one of seven regional working groups of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), ASOSAI was founded in 1979. The organization currently unites 42 countries.
