In March, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will sell a total volume of 160,000 tons of oil from the Russian port of Novorossiysk. Oil from Novorossiysk will be shipped in two batches, 80,000 tons each.
In total, 3.42 million tons of oil will be shipped in March from Novorossiysk.
SOCAR is shipping oil from its own fields, as well as oil from joint ventures and operating companies working in the onshore fields of Azerbaijan through Novorossiysk. The oil is delivered to the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 2.06 million tons of oil through the northern Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2012 compared to 1.99 tons in 2011 and 2.2 million tons in 2010.
Till late 2007 AIOC was the operator of Azeri part of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, later these functions were passed to SOCAR.
The schedule of oil transportation from the port of Novorossiysk in November is granted to Trend by Energy Intelligence Group agency.
