Turkey's AYEDAŞ electricity distribution network, serving the Anatolian side of Istanbul, has been privatized by Enerjisa Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ Company for electricity distribution for $ 1.2 billion, Hürriyet reproted.
According to the newspaper, Enerjisa Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ also privatized the Toroslar electricity distribution network, serving the provinces of Adana, Gaziantep, Hatay, Mersin, Osmaniye and Kilis, for $ 1.7 billion.
The Vangölü electricity distribution network was privatized by Türkerler İnşaat Company for $118 million. The Vangölü network serves the provinces of Van, Bitlis, Hakkari and Mush.
The tender for privatization of the Dicle electricity distribution network has been won by İşkaya Doğu for $ 387 million. Dicle is the electricity network of Diyarbakir, Sanliurfa, Siirt, Mardin, Batman and Sirnak provinces.
Privatization of four electricity distribution networks has brought Turkey an overall revenue of $ 3.4 billion.
