According to the data on July 5, 2013, the daily volume of gas supplied to the population of Azerbaijan was 4.6 million cubic meters compared to 6.6 million cubic meters as of May 13, a source in the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) told Trend on Friday.
As it was said in SOCAR, in connection with the summer season and high temperatures, gas consumption in the country decreased to the current rates. In particular, gas consumption in Baku amounts 2.9 million cubic meters per day.
"Some 1.7 million cubic meters of gas fall on the regions of the country daily," SOCAR said.
Azerigas Production Association (PA) of SOCAR is engaged in the distribution and sale of gas in Azerbaijan.
