Petrochemical plant will operate after scheduled repair in Kazakhstan in late July

The scheduled repair of the Kazakh "Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant" (Pavlodar refinery is located 450 kilometers from Astana, Pavlodar region - north of Kazakhstan) will be completed on July 25 this year and refine 100,000 tons of oil by the end of the month, an informed source in the enterprise told Trend on Monday.

"The enterprise's activity has been stopped for one month for scheduled repair from June 25 to July 25," the source added. "The plant will come into operation at the appointed time."

According to the statement, the plant will process 100,000 tons of oil by the end of this month.

"The processing volume will increase to 480,000 tons in August 2013 when the enterprise reaches the usual mode," the source added.

"Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant" is the largest enterprise producing petroleum products in Kazakhstan. Built in 1970s of the last century, the enterprise was initially focused on processing of Russia's West - Siberian oil.

The plant has a unique set of units, allowing to reach the depth of oil refining up to 85 percent.
