The electricity operator of Azerbaijan's capital of Baku JSC Bakielektrikshebeke plans to put into commission three 35/6-kilovolt substations in the near future, a statement posted on Thursday on company's official website said.

The report said that the substations, under construction, are located in Sabail, Khatai and Narimanov districts of Baku.

The construction of the substations is one of the directions towards ensuring the quality and regularity of electricity provision for subscribers.

In the first six months of 2013 JSC Bakielektrikshebeke acquired about 4.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan). This amount is practically same as the amount in January-June 2012.

In 2012, the JSC Bakielektrikshebeke acquired 8.55 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, compared to about 8.21 billion kilowatt-hours in 2011.
