In 2009-2013, Azerigaz Production Association (PA) of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), constructed more than 21,800 kilometres of gas pipelines, a statement released by SOCAR on Tuesday said.
Over 20,600 kilometres of gas pipelines out of the total amount of pipelines constructed by the Azerigaz PA accounted for country's regions, slightly more than 1,000 kilometres accounted for Baku, and some 182.7 kilometres accounted for main gas pipelines.
Also, some 6,900 kilometres of gas pipelines were overhauled from 2009 to 2013.
From January to July, Azerigaz PA constructed about 5,700 kilometres of gas pipelines, and some 953.7 kilometres of gas pipelines was overhauled.
The Azerigaz Production Association is engaged in the distribution and sale of gas on Azerbaijani territory.
