Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan.9
Rufiz Hafizoglu-Trend:

The Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has annulled the licenses on sale of oil and gas of the companies OMV Petrol Ofisi (POAŞ) and Shell & Turcas Petrol, Haber 7 TV Channel reported on Jan.9.

According to the TV Channel, OMV Petrol Ofisi (POAŞ) appealed to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) for renewal of the license on sale of oil and gas.

Turkish media outlets reported earlier that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), which is the largest investor in Turkey, may acquire Austrian OMV's stake in Petrol Ofisi (POAŞ), which is a part of Dogan Holding.

Petrol Ofisi has an aircraft refuelling network. The OMV plans to sell its stake in Petrol Ofisi and completely vacate the Turkish market.

Currently OMV has a 95.75 percent stake in Petrol Ofisi.
