The retail petrol prices have increased by 20 percent in Uzbekistan today.
The selling price on a liter of Ai- 80 petrol increased by 20.05 percent - to 2,005 soums compared to 1,670 soums, Ai- 91 - by 20.43 percent from 1,835 soums to 2,210 soums, Ai- 95 - by 20.54 percent from 2,020 soums to 2,435 soums.
The Ministry of Finance approved the new prices upon the Cabinet of Ministers' decree.

The selling prices of petrol include the tax taken from physical entities for consumption of petrol and diesel fuel for vehicles. It has hit 265 soums per liter of fuel since January 1.

Retail petrol prices rose by 10 percent in August 2011.

Uzbekistan reduced production of liquid hydrocarbons by 11.6 percent - up to 3.165 million tons, including oil production - by 17.4 percent to 1.561 million tons, gas condensate - by 5.6 percent - to 1.604 million tons in 2012 compared to 2011.

Petrol production decreased by 6.3 percent - to 1,226 million tons in 2012.
The official exchange rate is 2.203.22 soums /$1 on Jan. 10.
