As of January 1, 2014 the number of subscribers to the Azerbaijani gas operator stood at 1,647,906, according to a message from the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
Azerigaz production association (PA) of SOCAR is engaged in the issues of distribution and sale of gas in Azerbaijan.
Some 1,628,076 subscribers, out of the total number of subscribers, are residential and 19,830 subscribers are from other categories.
Last year 167,536 customers started receiving gas, of which 57,708 were located in Baku, Sumgait and Absheron and the remaining 109,828 were in other regions of the country.
