Czech Va Tech WABAG Sro will reconstruct wastewater treatment facilities of the Fergana refinery worth $ 16 million in Uzbekistan in 2015, a representative of the Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company told Trend on June 10.

The Czech company won the tender announced by Uznefteproduct, which is a subsidiary of Uzbekneftegaz, last autumn.

The winner must implement engineering and supply "turnkey" equipment for wastewater treatment facilities of the refinery with a capacity of 16 million cubic meters per year according to the tender terms.

The content of oil products in the refinery wastewater will not exceed one milligram per liter following the project implementation. The project implementation period is one year.

The Fergana refinery was commissioned in 1959. At present, it produces about 60 kinds of petroleum products.

At present, three refineries, namely, Bukhara, Fergana and Altyaryk ("Altyaryk fuel production") with a total capacity of 11.12 million tons of oil annually process oil and gas condensate.

In particular, the Bukhara refinery produces high-quality types of petrol, jet fuel and diesel fuel. The project processing capacity is 2.5 million tons of oil annually. Fergana and Altyaryk plants have a processing capacity of 5.5 million and 3.2 million tons of oil per year, respectively. At present, these capacities are used by 60-70 percent.
