"Azerenergy" JSC has produced more than 13 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-July, according to a statement posted on the official website of the JSC.
In January-July 2013, this index was more than 12.6 billion kilowatt hours.
According to the report, in July, "Azerenergy" generated more than 1.8 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, which is almost similar to the index in July 2013.
JSC "Azerenergy" is a major producer of electricity in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani electro-energy power generation has increased by 30 percent over the past five years. Currently this capacity is 7,105 megawatts which makes it possible to produce about 24 billion kilowatt hours of electricity per year, which in its turn allows the country to export annually 2.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity.
