The expenses on execution of contracts and orders in H1, 2014 as part of projects operated by BP in Azerbaijan, stood at $969 million versus $1.02 billion in January-June 2013, according to a report from BP.
The BP report covered the results of its activity in Azerbaijan in January-June, 2014.
According to the report, the cost of contracts of small and medium-sized enterprises' (including 180 individuals) totalled $378 million, state-owned companies (27 companies) - $65 million, and joint ventures with local partners (13 joint ventures) - $240 million.
Foreign contractors' expenses in Azerbaijan in H1, 2014 were $286 million.
Some $1.24 million were spent on the projects within the social responsibility in January-June.
The expenses as part of the Azerbaijani 'Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli' offshore fields' development project totalled $0.19 million, 'Shah Deniz' gas and condensate field - $0.19 million, 'Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan' and 'Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum' pipelines - $0.4 million.
BP participates in all of the mentioned energy projects, and it has spent $0.46 million as part of its own social responsibility projects.
