The prices of the state-regulated types of fuels and lubricants will decrease in Kazakhstan in the near future, the Kazakh First Vice-Minister of Energy Uzakbai Karabalin said at a briefing Dec. 9 in Astana.
"The price of AI-92 gasoline will decrease from 128 KZT to 115 KZT per liter (181.62 KZT is equal to $1). The price of AI-80 gasoline will remain the same - 89 KZT, the price of diesel fuel will be reduced from 115 KZT to 107 KZT per liter," Karabalin said.
The price of one liter AI-92 gasoline rose in Kazakhstan from 115 KZT to 128 KZT in late August 2014.
The vice-minister added that today due to the cheapening of the Russian ruble and the fall in world oil and oil products prices, the Kazakh market began to receive tangible volumes of cheapened fuel from Russia.
