Samsung hopes to participate in Iran’s new oil projects

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Samsung hopes to participate in new oil projects in Iran.

Sun Lee, the representative of Samsung in Iran, said the company will continue offering maintenance and spare parts supply services for the Persian Gulf floating oil storage unit, Iran's IRNA news agency reported on Feb. 8.

Samsung has invested in the construction of the oil storage unit. Sun Lee added that the high quality unit will play a key role in the Iranian oil industry.

The Persian Gulf floating oil export terminal was inaugurated on Feb. 8. The 2.2-million-barrel floating oil storage unit, came on stream in Soroush oil region in the Gulf.

The facility has the capacity to take in some 200,000 barrels per day of crude oil.
