Uzbek joint venture plans to complete gas recovery at southern fields in 2015

Kokdumalakgaz joint venture (JV) in Uzbekistan plans to complete the project for recovery of low-pressure gases at the fields in Kashkadarya province (south of Uzbekistan) by late 2015, a source close to the project told Trend.

The project worth $231.2 million will be implemented at South Kemachi, Kruk, West Kruk, North Urtabulak and Umid fields, according to the source.

The source added that the project envisages the construction of South Kemachi booster compressor station and use of technologies for gathering and recovering 2.6 million cubic meters of associated gases (per day) which is currently flared.

The implementation of the project will allow to recover 949 million cubic meters of gas per year.

Singaporean Enter Engineering Pte Ltd. carries out work on the project within the contract with Kokdumalakgaz JV. The contract signed with the Singaporean company on a "turnkey" basis, is financed with the own funds of the founders of the joint venture.

Kokdumalakgaz JV was created in 2004 for the implementation of the project for recovering the associated gas at Kokdumalak field in the Kashkadarya province.
