KazTransOil reduces oil transportation in first quarter

The Kazakh KazTransOil joint stock company reduced the oil transportation volume by 2 percent in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, the company said April 15.

The oil transportation and transshipment volume on KazTransOil in the reporting period amounted to 12.45 million metric tons. At the same time, this figure is 10 percent more than the planned index for this period.

The consolidated volume of transportation and transshipment of oil and oil products of KazTransOil group of companies amounted to 16.12 million metric tons, which is 12 percent more than planned and by 1 percent more than in the first quarter of 2014.

The oil cargo turnover on KazTransOil amounted to 9.16 billion ton-kilometers or by 6 percent more than the planned figure and by 2 percent more than in the first quarter of 2014.
The consolidated oil cargo turnover amounted to 11.47 billion ton-kilometers or by 8 percent more than planned and 3 percent more than in the first quarter of 2014.

KazTransOil is a subsidiary of KazMunayGas national company, national operator of Kazakhstan on the main oil pipeline. The company manages a network of main oil pipelines stretching over 5,600 kilometers and sluices stretching over 1,900 kilometers. It provides more than 8,000 people with jobs.
