By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakhstan increased natural gas production by 2 percent to 20.808 billion cubic meters compared to 20.4 billion cubic meters in 2013, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) says in its Annual Statistical Bulletin.
Natural gas export increased by 3 percent to 11.536 billion cubic meters in the reporting period. In 2013 natural gas export hit 11.2 billion cubic meters, according to the report.
Natural gas import also increased by 3 percent in Kazakhstan to 6.695 billion cubic meters compared to 6.5 billion cubic meters in 2013.
Kazakhstan's proven natural gas reserves decreased by 0.5 percent from 1.939 trillion cubic meters in 2013 to 1.929 trillion cubic meters in 2014, the OPEC said.
